DALLAS — A Dallas Cowboys team spokesperson said Friday that Merrick’s Pet Food and Wine is donating food and beer to the Dallas Stars as part of a partnership with the NFL’s Dallas Cowboys.
Merrick has been donating food for the Stars since the start of the 2017 season, and they will be participating in a program that will provide food to fans during the team’s upcoming home game against the Buffalo Sabres.
Merrick, a Dallas-based company that makes pet food and treats, has been helping fans enjoy their dogs and cats since 2002.
The team’s relationship with Merrick began in December of 2017, when the company partnered with the Dallas Cowboys, which also happens to be one of the team in attendance at the Stars game Saturday.
Merricks CEO, Mike DeLuca, said he’s proud to be a part of this initiative.
He said the partnership with Dallas is a natural extension of the brand’s commitment to Dallas and the Stars fans.
“We’re really excited to be partnering with Dallas,” DeLucas said.
“We’ve always been fans of the Stars, and now we’re really getting a chance to be part of their team and be part-owners in the success of our brand.”
As part of the partnership, the Stars will be able to order a selection of Merrick dog foods from the company’s website, as well as a selection from Merrick pet treats.
The partnership will also allow fans to receive treats during the game.
“The Dallas Stars and Merricks team will be providing fans with exclusive treats throughout the game, with exclusive selections, including some exclusive items for fans to enjoy at the end of the game,” a Stars spokesperson said in a statement.
“Fans can choose from a variety of treats and enjoy treats throughout their trip to Dallas.”
Merrick Dog Foods also partnered with Merriweather Post Pavilion to deliver treats to fans on the game’s opening night.
The food delivery is part of an effort by the company to promote their pet food product and provide a fun and fun environment for fans and dogs.
